“The 2015 Carmenere Syrah is a blend of 55% Carmenere and 45% Syrah. It comes from high altitude vineyards where there’s more sun and the Carmenere ripens properly, as they want to avoid the green aromas. This has good ripeness and no herbal notes whatsoever, with classical Syrah aromas of black peppercorns, smoky bacon, violets and cherries. The palate is medium-bodied, soft and approachable, with fine tannins and acidity.”-90WA
