“The 2019 Cooper’s Reed Cabernet Sauvignon includes fruit from young vines and high-vigor sites in St Helena, Rutherford and Calistoga. It’s 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and 100% Napa Valley, not always the case for wines in this price range. It’s minty, herbal and dusty, with cherries and tobacco joining in. Medium to full-bodied, it’s bright, fresh and taut, with a crisp, slightly greenish edge to the long, racy finish. A lighter, more quaffable style of Cabernet Sauvignon, it will be interesting to see how it is accepted by the market.”-90WA, 2022-2030
