“The young and lively 2022 País Viejo is aromatic and very clean, expressive and bright, an elegant version of a rustic grape with 12.5% alcohol, a medium-bodied palate and a fruit-driven finish. It’s easy to drink, pleasant and super affordable. It was bottled in September 2022, after five months in concrete.”-91WA, 2023-2027

These head-trained Pais vines are planted on very old soil of granitic, sandy loam formed by Chile’s coastal mountains. Pais Viejo is 100% naturally-vinified using century-old winemaking techniques, including the use of the zaranda (a structure made of sticks to destem the grape clusters). The grapes are hand harvested and fermented with native yeasts in concrete tanks to preserve the wine’s authentic expression of terroir. Certified Sustainable.
