Due to its royal warrant and limited production, Royal Brackla whiskies are highly regarded and sought after by whisky enthusiasts and collectors. They are often considered a hidden gem among single malt Scotch whiskies, offering a unique taste experience with a touch of royal heritage. In 1835, King William IV granted the distillery the right to use the “Royal” prefix in its name, making it Royal Brackla. Located in the Highlands of Scotland, the distillery is close to the Cawdor Castle. The castle has strong connections to Shakespeare’s play “Macbeth” and is often associated with royalty and Scottish history.
