Joseph Mellot, La Chatellenie, Sancerre, France 2023

The first chapter of a winegrowing history began in 1513 with Pierre-Etienne Mellot. His descendants became pioneers in wine tourism and exhibitions, and even serving as counselor to King Louis XIV.

Today, the winery is led by Catherine Mellot and is a true ambassador of Centre-Loire fine wines. The estate has been managed in sustainable viticulture since 2010 and certified High Environmental Value (HEV) since 2019.

This Sancerre comes from a vineyard with the prized silex terroir.
