Approaching this release from a slightly unorthodox standpoint, at least as far as the hop combination goes, Mother Earth’s brewers aimed to meld the flavors of traditional IPA hops with modern varietals that produce loads of tropical fruit. Hop trials and oil analysis led to the combination of Simcoe, Vic Secret, and experimental HBC 586, which is known for its medley of fruit aromas, such as mango, guava, and lychee. The malt bill consists of almost 40% oats and wheat for a big mid-palate body and lasting haze.
