This Montepulciano d’Abruzzo hails from a vineyard situated between 150 and 400 meters above sea level on south/southwest facing clay soils. The vines are approximately 25 to 35 years-old and are all hand-harvested in order to ensure the most gentle and precise picking possible. After harvest, the wine starts fermentation and maceration for about 10 days in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged for approximately 18 months in 80% in stainless steel and 20% in 25 hl oak slavonian barrels as well as 2nd passage barriques.
