“The 2020 Cotes de Provence Rose Secret de Leoube ratchets up the density and concentration achieved at this estate while retaining a wonderful sense of lightness and refreshment in a medium-bodied wine. Hints of red berries, peaches and pineapple accent melon and citrus notes, all underscored by crushed stone and finishing long and elegant.”-92WA
This rosé is a blend of 40% Grenache, 40% Cinsault, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. The soils of this vineyard site are a mixture of schist and clay, classically characterizing Château Léoube soils. The proximity of the sea, the daily sea breeze and cool nights are all factors that provide an ideal climate for growing grapes. Vines are 30 years old. To obtain a perfect sorting, harvesting is manual only. The grapes are transported directly to the winery where they are pressed directly. The juice extraction is slow and delicate. Fermentations, alcoholic and malolactic are made in stainless steel tanks. The bottling takes place in the spring after clarification.
