I am happy to announce a wine dinner with Joe Signorile, French Wine Specialist with Kobrand importing. Kobrand has started importing the wines of Domaine Zind Humbrecht, a benchmark of Alsace. For those unfamiliar with this region, Alsace is located on the border with Germany and has frequently been occupied by both countries over the last couple of hundred years. Many of the grapes used are similar to Germany, however, the predominant style of Alsatian wines is dry rather than sweet.
The lovely Dolphin Restaurant in Hanalei will be hosting this dinner. The Dolphin is a great fit for this dinner as these wines are perfect for seafood pairings.
These bio-dynamically farmed wines are iconic and Mr. Robert Parker Jr. calls the 1994 Rangen Vineyard Riesling “one of the single greatest Rieslings I have ever tasted.” We will have the fortune of tasting this rarity from magnum.
The dinner will be on Thursday, October 23rd at 5:30PM. The cost will be $145 per person, not including tax or gratuity. Seating is limited so please give us a call at your earliest convenience for reservations. You may call the store at 826-0040.
